Engineering Lead - AI-Native Startup
Dublin - Hybrid. Up to €150,000 + Equity.
We're partnering with one of Dublin's most exciting AI-native startups as they look to hire an Engineering Lead to help scale both the product and engineering function.
This is not a corporate management role. They are looking for someone who still loves building, shipping and solving problems technically, but who also wants to step into a bigger leadership role within a fast-moving startup environment.
The business is building an AI-native operational platform designed to automate complex workflows across the property and rental space. They already have customers live, the team is growing quickly, and product delivery is moving at serious pace.
The Role
This will be a genuine 50/50 role across hands‑on engineering and technical leadership.
You’ll work closely with the founders and engineering team to:
Architect and ship key product features
Improve delivery and engineering execution
Mentor and support engineers
Help shape technical direction
Drive accountability across the team
Work across roadmap planning and execution
Stay close to the code while helping scale the engineering function
The team currently sits at 5 engineers and is expected to grow significantly over the next 12–18 months.
What They’re Looking For
Experience in a scaling startup or modern product‑led SaaS environment
Previously operated as a Tech Lead, Engineering Lead or hands‑on Engineering Manager
Strong JavaScript / TypeScript experience
A product engineering mindset
Experience shipping features end‑to‑end
Strong technical judgement and architecture capability
The ability to operate well in ambiguity and fast‑moving environments
Importantly, they are not looking for:
Jira/process‑only managers
Scrum‑master style leadership
People completely detached from engineering
Heavy enterprise‑style management backgrounds

Hybrid working – typically 1 day in office every 2 weeks in Dublin city centre
