Responsibilities
Ensure the buildings and plant are maintained to company and legal standards within the budgeted costs across both properties
Establish the key work priorities and ensure overall effective maintenance of plants and building, ensuring that effective, preventative and routine maintenance is carried out across both properties
Evaluate, control and record energy usage and implement and upgrade energy conservation systems across both properties
Contribute to guest satisfaction standards by ensuring that maintenance support services quickly address, and where possible, anticipate, individual needs across both properties
Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations and fire codes by regularly reviewing policies and safety procedures across both properties
Build a professional, productive and highly motivated team of employees across both properties by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety, training and development
Investigate and recommend suppliers when local purchasing of equipment, spare parts and supplies for the engineering departments is required across both properties
Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or similar field is desirable
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Experience in budgets, forecasting, and knowledge of Capex budgets
High standard of oral and written communication
Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, sewer and HVAC systems
Basic first aid, manual handling and fire awareness training
Previous experience/training in a similar role
