Engineering Manager – REF: 2434
We are recruiting an Engineering Manager to join our Energy, Utilities and Renewables Projects team. The successful candidate will join an established business and have the opportunity to lead high-value and high-complexity projects as their career progresses.
The Engineering Manager will have a client-facing role. The responsibilities include:
1. Client Relationship Management and Business Development - maintaining and growing the business by managing existing workloads and securing new projects.
2. Leading a team of engineers, overseeing project delivery, performance management, and competency development.
3. Project leadership for Design & Contract management from conceptual phase through to project completion, including development of design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
Typical projects include:
* Power Generation, including CHP and Peaking Plants
* Renewable Energy projects such as biogas, biomass, solar, and hydro
* Energy audits and the design and implementation of energy-saving initiatives
* Industrial utilities design, including HVAC, steam, refrigeration, and compressed air systems
The Engineering Manager will have opportunities for career progression within Fingleton White and involvement across various business sectors and projects.
The role is based in our Galway office, with consideration also given to applications for our Cork office.
The Candidate….
The ideal candidate will have:
* An Engineering degree (Level 8 or higher) in Mechanical, Process, or a related discipline.
* 10+ years of relevant post-graduate design experience. CEng qualification is advantageous but not essential.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent computer skills.
* Problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
* A full driving license and own transport.
* Fluent written and spoken English.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
