Closing Date : 19-Oct-2025 Maynooth University Student Services comprises several services whose aim is to provide committed and dedicated on-campus services, designed to support and assist students throughout their time at university.
We are seeking to recruit a talented and motivated Student Advisor to join the Student Support team, which sits within the wider Student Services Team.
The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive, holistic, and student-centred advisory service, both on a one-to-one and group basis.
This involves assessing students' needs on academic, personal, and financial issues, and coordinating appropriate and tailored supports to assist students success.
Reporting to the Student Support Officer, they will work in close collaboration with multiple multi-disciplinary stakeholders, including, the Student Support team, the wider Student Services team, with colleagues from across the University, as well as with external stakeholders.
The successful candidate should have a strong record of providing one-to-one, solution-focused, timely and co-ordinated support to students, in a sensitive and confidential manner, along with excellent organisational, people, communication, and IT skills.
This role will also participate in and contribute to the relevant areas of Student Services strategic and operational planning and delivery.
The successful candidate will be required to be agile in their approach as the needs of the service grow and evolves.
They must be able to demonstrate an ability to work accurately under pressure and on their own ability, and must have experience of completing concurrent tasks, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in their output.
As this position will operate within Student Services, the successful candidate should understand, and have empathy with, the mission, ethos, and overall approach of Student Services.
