This role is perfect for a driven commercial professional who wants to shape growth across the island of Ireland. Working closely with our Sales Director, you'll play a key role in identifying new opportunities, winning contracts, and supporting our continued expansion in the Irish food services market.The successful candidate will work with the existing Sales team and relevant Operational and Support teams to implement the Sales Strategy in order to meet our financial targets. The Business Development Manager will identify, negotiate and close new business opportunities, manage the tender process and in addition support retention within our existing client base. New sales and retention targets will be agreed with the Sales Director.This is a full time and permanent role.The ideal candidate will be based in the West, Midwest, or South of IrelandKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop Business opportunities with existing client base and new clients to ensure they are identified and progressed.Implement the agreed sales and retention plan to meet agreed financial targetsPreparation and delivery of innovative bespoke tenders for new business and negotiation of new contracts within Food Services.Manage all sales and tender activities within your defined business portfolioWork with Operations and key support functions to ensure proposals are tailored to specific Client needs and Company objectivesNetworking, building and maintaining relationships with a view to securing new businessWork closely with the relevant Client Account Managers to drive sales and retention within the regionsMaintain up to date knowledge of market trends, methods, and best practice.Work with the team to develop innovative market approaches to develop mew business opportunities.Requirements and Skills5+ years' experience in Business Development or Sales within contract catering, food services, or hospitality in the Irish market.Proven track record in winning medium–large tenders and managing the full bid cycle.Strong commercial skills; pricing, financial understanding, and building profitable solutions.Excellent relationship‑building ability with senior stakeholders; confident presenter.Exceptional written skills for proposal and tender development.Strong market awareness; food trends, competitor landscape, and client expectations.Highly organised, self‑driven, innovative, and able to manage multiple deadlines.Established network across corporate, education, pharma, healthcare or public‑sector buyers.Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management.Passion for food, sustainability, and consumer experience.
