Your new job Key duties and responsibilities: As Financial Controller, you will play a central role in guiding the business financially, combining strategic oversight with operational delivery.
Financial leadership & reporting Lead and manage all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
Deliver insightful management accounts, financial analysis, gross margin and customer profitability reporting to support informed decision-making.
Commercial & strategic support Provide financial input into commercial decisions, pricing strategies, and new product development.
Support the development of longer-term business plans, ensuring robust financial modelling and analysis.
Assist in the product development process, including investment appraisal, product costings, and contribution to the stage-gate process.
Controls, compliance & efficiency Develop and implement strong financial policies, procedures, and internal controls as the business continues to scale.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to ensure ongoing stability.
Oversee annual budgets, audits, and statutory financial statements.
Identify and drive cost efficiencies across all areas of the business.
People & stakeholder management Lead, manage, and mentor the finance team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions, and relevant regulatory bodies.
Contribute to sustainability and ESG initiatives through financial tracking, reporting, and compliance.
What are we looking for? Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 4 years PQE and proven leadership capability.
Background in financial management, ideally within the food production, fmcg or manufacturing sectors.
Strong knowledge of Irish tax laws, accounting principles, and compliance requirements.
Proven track record of developing financial strategies and achieving business goals.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Fact-based approach to business building.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Awareness of sustainability and ESG principles, including target setting, compliance, and environmental accounting (training available).
