Job Brief
The Home Support Service are looking for a highly capable Assistant Manager to join the Home Support and PA team. The successful applicant will work closely with Service Managers in the delivery and coordination of services in line with new regulations. The candidate should have excellent communication and leadership skills, work in an empathetic and person-centred manner, and have the ability to work on their own initiative.
Candidate Requirements
* Knowledge of HIQA requirements and Home Support regulations is essential.
* Genuine interest in working alongside people to effect positive opportunities and change in their lives.
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Resilience in community work
* Excellent communication skills
* Provide personal care and support where required
* Creative problem solving
* Highly motivated
* Use of own car for work purposes
Other duties
* Contribute to local service planning and adapt to changing needs
* Ensure a safe work environment, following Dignity at Work Policy and Health & Safety standards

* Use positive support approaches in line with organizational practices
An appropriate third-level qualification in Social Care or equivalent (minimum level 7). Qualification must be eligible for CORU registration
Other Requirements
* Full driver’s license essential
* Irish Garda Vetting & Reference checks required
* Work authorization for non-EU applicants, with relevant documentation
* Access to Overseas Police Clearance if lived outside Ireland/Northern Ireland for more than 6 months since age 18
