SENIOR PSYCHOLOGIST
East Limerick Children’s Services
PERMANENT PART-TIME CONTRACT (31.5 hours per week)
Salary: €97,528 - €114,638
*Salary is subject to relevant public sector experience and will be pro-rated for hours worked.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
1. A recognized university degree or diploma with first or second class honors in Psychology as a major, with honors obtained in the subject.
2. A postgraduate professional qualification in psychology, recognized by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
3. At least five years of postgraduate experience as a professional psychologist, with no more than three years spent obtaining the postgraduate qualification, and at least two years of full-time post-qualification experience as a psychologist.
4. Possess the knowledge, ability, and suitability for the role, including experience working with children with intellectual disabilities, with or without autism, and experiencing mental health difficulties or behaviors of concern.
5. Applicants with qualifications obtained outside Ireland must provide a validation certificate from the Department of Health.
Applicants should possess Level 2 behavioral competencies of the Avista competency framework, which can be found on the last page of the Job Description.
