The Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI) is the leading representative body for the Irish restaurant industry, encompassing over 3,000 members including full-service restaurants, cafés, gastropubs, and hotel restaurants. Our mission to Represent, Assist, and Inform our members to ensure the hospitality sector continues to grow and prosper.Role PurposeAs a Field-Based Membership Executive, you will be the face of the RAI in your designated region. You will visit independent restaurant owners, café operators, and hoteliers to demonstrate the value of RAI membership—highlighting our advocacy work, cost-saving schemes, and industry-leading events.Reporting to: Membership Sales Manager / CEOKey ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development: Conduct daily field visits to prospect and sign up new members (restaurants, gastropubs, and cafés) within your territory.Benefit Advocacy: Effectively communicate the core benefits of RAI membership, including:Lobbying Power: Representation to the government on critical issues like VAT rates and labour costs.Financial Savings: Access to exclusive discounts on utilities, merchant services, and IMRO licensing.Training: Promotion of funded courses via the Restaurant & Hospitality Skillnet.Awards: Encouraging participation in the Irish Restaurant Awards.Relationship Management: Act as a local liaison, gathering feedback from business owners to inform the RAI’s national lobbying strategy.Target Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly membership acquisition and retention targets to support the growth of the Association.Administration: Maintain accurate records of site visits and new sign-ups using the RAI’s CRM system.RequirementsHospitality Insight: Strong knowledge of the Irish hospitality landscape; prior experience in restaurant management or hospitality sales is a distinct advantage.Communication: Ability to engage with busy business owners, delivering a persuasive pitch in a fast-paced environment.Self-Starter: Highly motivated to work independently in the field with a proven track record in face-to-face sales.Mobility: A full, clean Irish driver’s license and access to a vehicle is essential for regional travel.Professionalism: A passionate ambassador for the RAI, reflecting the high standards of the Irish food and tourism industry.What We OfferCompetitive base salary with an uncapped commission structure.
