I am seeking a skilled Project Lead for a permanent position in Wicklow. You will lead the governance and management of an enterprise ICT project portfolio, overseeing project prioritisation, resource planning, delivery performance, and portfolio reporting. Supported strategic planning, capital budgeting, and change management activities while establishing project management standards, processes, and tools to improve delivery outcomes and organisational capability.Roles & ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, governance, and delivery of a portfolio of technology and business transformation projects from initiation through to implementation.Develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps aligned with organisational objectives and stakeholder priorities.Manage project demand, resource allocation, capacity planning, and forecasting to optimise delivery performance and resource utilisation.Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, quality assurance, and performance reporting across multiple concurrent initiatives.Establish and enhance project management frameworks, methodologies, tools, templates, and governance processes to support effective delivery.Collaborate with executive leadership, business sponsors, and cross-functional teams to provide portfolio oversight, financial reporting, and strategic recommendations.Manage relationships with third-party technology vendors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.Utilise data analysis, KPIs, and performance metrics to identify delivery risks, improve processes, and drive operational efficiencies.Lead and develop technical delivery teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Manage stakeholder engagement and communications, balancing business expectations with delivery capabilities and organisational priorities.Support business analysis activities, requirements gathering, business case development, and executive-level reporting and presentations.Key Qualifications & ExpertiseMinimum 5 years' experience managing portfolios, programmes, and complex technology projects across the full project lifecycle.Proven experience delivering projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Strong understanding of Project Delivery Frameworks, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), governance, and quality assurance processes.Demonstrated expertise in portfolio management, resource planning, demand management, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.Experience managing third-party suppliers, service providers, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, business case development, and stakeholder management.Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels.Experience developing executive-level reports, presentations, KPIs, and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.Strong understanding of information technology solutions and their application to business transformation and operational improvement.Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PPM, PMP, Agile certification, or equivalent).To hear more about this position contact Sue on 01-6520652 or email your CV to susan.tobin@realtime.jobs
