In this role, you will have responsibility for day-to-day management of all PR, social media and external communications activity, inclusive of our Sponsorship and Sustainability communications, and partnering with ExCo and Senior Management to provide strategic communications advice.You will work with the broader Corporate Affairs & Communications team, as well as with key stakeholders across the wider Bank, to represent the Bank externally, engaging with media and other external stakeholders to put forward the Bank¿s position while managing and protecting the Bank¿s reputation.You be responsible for the management and evolution of the Bank¿s external communications activity, communications channels and events, and you will oversee the day-to-day management of the external communications team. You will also be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the social media strategy for the Bank to drive uplift in engagement across the Bank¿s social media channels, along with overseeing the day-to-day management of the Bank¿s social media channels.You will be accountable for devising and activating external public relations campaigns aligned to the Bank¿s Ambition, Purpose and Strategic priorities, and developing and implementing the Bank¿s reputation management strategy.The role requires an experienced, collaborative and highly driven individual who will be a trusted spokesperson for the Bank, and advisor to senior management and the wider business utilising your experience of sound decision making in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You will have familiarity with the industry and environment the Bank operates within, as well as the external reputational challenges facing PTSB and the wider industry, and will take these into account when devising and implementing Corporate and Consumer PR strategies.Responsibilities:Work with the Senior Corporate Affairs & Communications Manager to develop the Bank¿s external reputation strategy.Manage the implementation of the Bank¿s reputation strategy, ensuring positioning is aligned at all times to the Bank¿s overarching business strategy and demonstrates our Brand positioning of being `Altogether more human¿.Devise external PR campaigns to support the delivery of the Bank¿s Purpose, Ambition and Strategic Priorities, and proactively seek opportunities to promote PTSB externally.Collaborate with stakeholders across the Bank to develop and deliver integrated and aligned communications campaigns for key commercial, consumer and colleague initiatives.Build and strengthen the Bank¿s professional relationships with key partners, including media and external influencers.Support the Senior Corporate Affairs & Communications Manager in managing day-to-day media relations, and remain current with industry news, topics and trends.Deliver the Bank¿s Reflecting Ireland and Reflecting Business research series.Draft press releases, speeches and supporting communications materials as required.Requirements:Subject matter expert in communications, with a consistent track record of developing and successfully executing PR, social media and external communications strategies with demonstrable outcomes and impact.A highly motivated self-starter who is results driven.An excellent communicator (written and oral skills), with a sound grasp of strategic thinking.Proven excellence at stakeholder management, with ability to work effectively at senior levels across a Business, being seen as a `trusted advisor¿.Knowledge and understanding of the external media and political environment, as well as the external reputational challenges facing PTSB and the wider industry.
