Meet The Team
Our engineering team is looking for a Process Engineer to support the startup of our first European manufacturing site in Athenry. As a Process Engineer 2 within our kitting manufacturing area, you will use proven engineering principles to implement, characterize, improve, and qualify manufacturing processes and equipment for new or existing products.
Where You Come In
* Ownership of OEE and Yield: Monitor, analyze, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and process yield across a highly automated environment.
* Process & Equipment Qualifications: Support equipment and process qualifications, including protocol development, execution, and documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
* Apply structured problem‑solving techniques to root‑cause analysis and identify process risks, assess impact, and implement mitigation plans.
* As the line engineer, identify and resolve mechanical, software, and performance issues.
* Perform statistically robust industry‑standard analysis of data and present findings to technical teams.
* Work with suppliers to ensure equipment, materials, and components meet product specifications and performance requirements.
* Collaborate across Dexcom manufacturing sites with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with FDA design controls and documentation standards.
* Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and business objectives.
What Makes You Successful
* Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation/Mechatronics, or equivalent with 2‑5 years related experience.
* Ability to run self‑directed projects, maintain timelines, stay organized, and balance multiple activities in a fast‑paced environment.
* Ability to deal with ambiguity/uncertainty and willingness to try new or challenging things.
* Proven ability to work hands‑on in a fast‑paced environment with highly automated production lines.
* Previous experience in FAT/SAT along with IQ/OQ/PQ.
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills.
* Knowledge of high‑volume packaging equipment, vision systems, or labeling systems is an advantage.
