ATG are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal Roads Engineer to join a dynamic team in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading road infrastructure projects, overseeing design and delivery, and ensuring compliance with national and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the design, planning, and delivery of road infrastructure projects.
* Oversee the preparation of feasibility studies, design reports, and contract documentation.
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including TII (Transport Infrastructure Ireland) and DMURS (Design Manual for Urban Roads and Streets) guidelines.
* Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and professional development support.
* Liaise with stakeholders, including local authorities, government agencies, and contractors.
* Conduct site inspections and provide technical input during construction phases.
* Oversee budgetary control and project timelines, ensuring efficient project delivery.
* Implement sustainable and innovative engineering solutions in road design.
* Support business development initiatives, including proposal writing and client engagement.
Minimum Requirements
* A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional body.
* A minimum of 10 years’ experience in road and highway engineering.
* Extensive knowledge of Irish road design standards and regulations.
* Proven experience in project management and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
* Experience with contract administration and procurement processes.
