Role: Data Migration Specialist with Business Analyst experience

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Data Migration Specialist with Business Analyst experience to lead and execute data migration activities across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have over 6 + years of experience in data migration projects, combined with strong business analysis capabilities to liaise with stakeholders, gather requirements, and ensure the integrity and accuracy of data across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end data migration projects from legacy systems to new platforms (ERP, CRM, custom systems, cloud).
Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using tools such as SQL or ETL platforms
Conduct data profiling and data quality analysis to ensure accurate and clean data transfer.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and map data fields between source and target systems.
Prepare detailed data mapping, migration strategy, and reconciliation documents.
Support UAT and post-migration validation to ensure business readiness.
Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and data flows to identify improvement opportunities during migration.
Act as the liaison between business users, technical teams, and vendors.
Manage risks, issues, and change requests during the migration lifecycle.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and migration logs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in data migration and data integration projects.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, gathering requirements and producing documentation.
Strong knowledge of SQL, databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL), and data modeling concepts.
Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, etc.) and scripting (Python, Shell, etc.) would be added advantage.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
