Job Description
The successful implementation of a comprehensive Electronic Health Record (EHR) system requires a pivotal role for a Senior Technical Infrastructure Lead. This position reports to the Cram Technical Stream Lead and manages planning, delivery, and core technical architectures supporting deployment, performance, scalability, and security of the EHR system.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the Architecture and Technical Infrastructure workstream within the EHR programme
* Establishing project teams, allocating responsibilities, collaborating with other workstream leads, and managing end-user experience and protections relating to technical infrastructure
* Coordinating workflows for deployment, milestone tracking, reporting workstream status and issues, risks, and benefits
* Facilitating regular workgroup meetings, tracking milestones, documenting decisions, and escalating risks
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
* Serving as primary liaison to clinicians and supporting staff to ensure architecture and infrastructure designs meet clinical and business workflow needs
* Leading Architecture & Technical Infrastructure engagement sessions, adoption planning, and go-live readiness efforts
* Recommending policy changes and process improvements related to infrastructure use to drive efficiencies and improve outcomes
Architecture and Infrastructure Design
* Defining future-state technical architectures (infrastructure, functional, and data) to support the EHR programme, including system selection, decommissioning, integration, overall scalability, and system resilience
* Ensuring infrastructure architecture aligns with clinical/business workflow needs and integration points across ancillary systems such as PACS, LIS, RIS, ERP, and other enterprise/local applications
Implementation Support, Validation & Testing
* Leading technical readiness activities, including infrastructure provisioning and deployment of non-production environments for development, testing, and training
* Overseeing performance testing, scalability assessments, and end-to-end system monitoring configurations
Documentation & Governance
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including current state/future state architectures, risk/issue logs, decision registers, benefits registers, and change logs
* Supporting governance processes by preparing materials for the Technical Design Forum and senior management meetings
