Public Sector IT Procurement Expert
Job Summary:
* The successful candidate will oversee technology projects in compliance with EU directives and public procurement regulations.
* Strategic management of IT contracts, legacy systems, and sustainability initiatives will be a key responsibility.
* Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) must be developed and managed to ensure adherence to contract terms.
* Leading weekly/monthly meetings with business partners and tracking actual expenditure against budget will also be essential duties.

Responsibilities:
1. Tendering process for technology projects will need to be effectively managed.
2. Developing and leading on sustainability initiatives through tendering will be a critical aspect of the role.
3. Mini-tender competitions will require investigation and management.
4. Negotiating and managing IT contracts and legacy systems will also fall under the remit of this position.
5. Compliance with Public Spending Code and reporting requirements will be mandatory.
6. Leading meetings with business partners and stakeholders will be necessary.

Requirements:
* A minimum level 6 qualification in Public Procurement is required.
* Three years' experience in Public Procurement is necessary.
* Experience in tendering in the public sector, particularly in technology projects, is vital.
* Strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills are expected.
* Ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary team members and stakeholders is essential.
* Competence in MS Office suite is necessary.
* Strong leadership and influencing skills are required.
* Customer service orientation and ability to meet deadlines are crucial.
