Dromoland Castle is currently recruiting for a Full Time Commis Chef to join our award-winning culinary team at one of Ireland's prestigious destinations.
Overview of the Role:
* Be familiar with the menu
* Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion while ensuring dishes leaving the kitchen are prepared to the approved standard for presentation
* Avoid unnecessary wastage, observe proper portion planning and control, and act in a cost-effective, responsible manner
* Ensure excellent food hygiene practices are observed throughout the food chain from storage to preparation and service
* Ensure HACCP compliance within the kitchen
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in a similar role and in hotel/fine dining kitchen preferred
* Talented, creative, and passionate about food
* Friendly, dedicated individual with attention to detail
* Team player who works and communicates well with others
* Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
