Junior Onsite IT Support Engineer
1. Location: Wexford
2. Job Type: 12 Month Contract (expected to extend)
Job Summary
Our well-known enterprise manufacturing client is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Junior IT Support Engineer to join their team on a long term contract basis.
3. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive deskside support for hardware, software, and IT infrastructure.
4. The ideal candidate will have a basic sense of initiative, ownership, and commitment to resolving issues efficiently and adhering to company protocols.
5. You will learn excellent troubleshooting skills, discretion, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative mindset.
Key Skills and Experience
6. Some working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.
7. Some experience staging and deploying Windows desktops and laptops.
8. Basic understanding of network concepts (client and wireless connectivity troubleshooting).
9. Some familiarity with server administration tasks (Windows Server /, VMware, Veeam Backup).
10. Some hands-on experience with printer and peripheral device troubleshooting and configuration, particularly Ricoh, OKI, Zebra, and related hardware.
11. Basic troubleshooting capabilities for audio-visual systems, including MS Teams Rooms.
12. Ability to assist and coordinate with 3rd-party vendors for hardware and lab equipment installations.
13. Some previous experience working in a production environment is highly desirable.
