Horizons is looking to a recruit 2 enthusiastic and motivated Compliance and Audit Officers on a fixed term basis for a period of 2 years.
The successful candidates will have responsibility for leading out on Horizons' internal HIQA Regulation 23 audit processes which will assist in ensuring the quality and safety of services for the people we support, and staff, and to continuously improve the quality of care we deliver.

New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale.
Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland (Department of Health Circular ******).
Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.
Requirements for all applicants:
Not less than five years post registration experience to include a minimum of three years' experience in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care
An academic award in Quality, Safety, Risk Management or Clinical Governance in Social and Healthcare at level 8 (or higher) on the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) framework or equivalent or an academic award at a level 8 or higher and a willingness to undertake further relevant education and training
Have experience of auditing against regulations and standards
Have an in-depth understanding of HIQA National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities
Have a good understanding of Horizons Policies, Procedures, Protocols and Guidelines (PPPGs)
Possess proficient IT Skills including Microsoft Office
The ability to analyse and interrogate data to present to Management and other relevant stakeholders
Have an ability to work independently and work effectively as part of a team; contributing and supporting colleagues to achieve team goals
Possess good communication skills with an ability to engage in a supportive and learning manner with Persons in Charge and Managers
Hold a clean Full Drivers Licence and use of vehicle for work is essential
Applicants must have the right to work in Ireland and hold up to date, valid employment permissions

Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:
Hold professional registration, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.

The acceptable proof is correspondence from the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU confirming their application for registration as a Section 91 applicant was received by 30th November ****.
OR
Provide Proof of Statutory Registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
