Are you an experienced Facilities and Maintenance professional seeking a strategic leadership role in a dynamic production environment? We are recruiting for a senior-level opportunity within a well-established manufacturing organisation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys managing complex maintenance operations, driving continuous improvement, and leading capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement and oversee a proactive preventative maintenance programme for all plant services and equipment.
* Maintain plant asset registers, insurance documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Lead all reactive maintenance efforts, resolving breakdowns with minimal production impact.
* Manage inventory of spare parts and ensure critical equipment availability.
* Drive productivity and safety improvements from a maintenance perspective.
* Contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability projects across the site.
* Oversee external contractors and ensure scheduled works are delivered on time and within budget.
* Act as Deputy Security Manager under the Air Cargo Security Programme.
* Manage building projects including refurbishments, inspections, and liaising with building services contractors.
* Provide technical direction and project management for capital and efficiency projects.
* Lead troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise process equipment.
* Prepare and implement emergency plans to ensure operational continuity.
* Promote and adhere to all site safety, environmental, and quality policies.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience:
* 10+ years of experience in facilities/maintenance within a production or manufacturing setting.
* Proven technical background in maintaining mechanical, electrical, and heating systems.
* Experience with de-ionised water systems is desirable.
* Strong contractor and project management background.
Knowledge & Skills:
* Knowledge of ISO quality standards and experience in regulated manufacturing environments is advantageous.
* Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices.
* Risk management experience in a production context.
* High-level IT proficiency (MS Office, CAD).
* Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications:
* Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
* Trade qualification as an Electrician or Mechanical Fitter also considered.
