The EMEA HR Business Partner has a line reporting responsibility to the HR Country Manager in Ireland.
The HR Business Partner has a dotted line reporting responsibility to the GM Europe.
The position has a functional reporting responsibility to the Head of HR Western Europe.
The EMEA HR Business Partner works closely with Business and Laboratory Managers for all ALS Mineral sites within Europe.
Primary Objectives
Advise and support the General Manager on HR activities across Ireland
Coordinate delivery from HR leaders for Geochemistry
Lead compensation and benefits activities for Geochemistry, including regional salary grid implementation and maintenance
Partner with Operations and Functional Support leaders to forecast talent needs
Develop and deliver HR strategic priorities across all sites
Standardize HR policies, procedures, systems, and initiatives across the region
Implement HR technologies across Ireland
Promote a culture of wellbeing, HSE, and employee engagement
Attend management meetings and recommend organizational changes
Communicate strategy and operational goals using clear, engaging methods
Mentor and support individuals and teams on specific competencies
Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
Provide employee relations guidance; oversee investigations, disciplinary processes, and terminations
Support and coordinate compensation and benefits activities across the region
Advise local HR teams on employee relations and industrial relations issues
Ensure adherence to company policy, HSE culture, and applicable legislation across Europe
Conduct annual HR audits and training refreshers for each ALS site in the region
Support recruitment and selection for internal and external roles as needed
Collate and complete monthly HR reports and quarterly exit summaries for all sites
Maintain strict confidentiality of all information
Propose and implement HR initiatives that improve business performance
Ensure timely, high quality monthly reporting
Responsibilities
To assist Managers to formulate potential strategies to handle staff level and FTE to be in accordance with workloads during both high and low season.
Managing in head hunting process, recruitment, and selection activities, both internal and external, as required.
To assist Managers and staff in conflict resolution.
Coordinating staff and management training related to the HR portfolio for all sites within the Region.
Aiding the further development the Performance Management System.
Preparation of jobs descriptions for key positions.
To assist Management by leading disciplinary or employee termination processes and ensure all correct steps have been taken to conduct these processes in a legally compliant manner
Qualifications
A tertiary qualification relevant to Human Resources Management.
A minimum of 5 years HR advisory experience in an HR Department preferably working across multiple jurisdictions.
Accurate and current HR-related legislative knowledge and the ability to implement accordingly
Excellent interactive skills, both internally and across various laboratories throughout Africa
Demonstration of exemplary problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to develop effective working relationships and effective ways of communication with all local officers in the region.
Have proven hands-on attitude, flexibility, and adaptability.
Ability to motivate and influence others.
