The Process Project Engineer will lead the design aspect of the Strategic Capital Programs required to deliver capacity and business continuity planning (BCP) for the client. The role is responsible for directing project design teams responsible for identifying, specifying, validating, and optimizing equipment, and all critical expenditure required to safeguard the future of the business. We look forward to partnering with you for continued professional success.ResponsibilitiesProject identification with subsequent scope and business case developmentManage Project Execution particularly overseeing contractors/vendors from Health & Safety standpointLead the execution of capital projects ensuring best practices using engineering, regulatory & environmental standardsOversee the design, procurement, budgeting, installation, testing, factory acceptance testing, validation, commissioning and handover of new process equipment / safety upgrades to operationsParticipate in HAZOP studiesDevelop Change Control document for works/changes to commence on siteLead the project kickoff meeting with relevant project stakeholders (Process, electrical, automation & civil contractors)Lead the project constructability review meeting (i.e. scaffolding, MEWP, hot works, crane lifts etc)Approval of project schedule and monitoring timelines, critical path of project throughout the project lifecycleManage snag lists, weld logs, test packs, test inspection plans, redline drawings, P&ID upgrades etcApprove technical submittals from contractor (Materials, equipment datasheets, tank drawings, Isometrics etc).Reviewing/approving method statements prior to issuing permit to work on site. (Cold works, hot works, working at height, confined space, red tag and LOTO)Lead weekly progress report meetings and the weekly safety review meeting.Lead the project teams of engineers (staff and contract) across local and global sites to deliver the design on strategic capital projectsLead the development and delivery of new technology and innovative solutions to future-proof and modernise the Client business in line with Industry 4.0Develop and leverage best practices from Client divisions as well as from other industries to deliver world class performance in plant and equipment designResponsible for design solutions needed to deliver technically complex solutionsProvide technical guidance during project design and implementation, including Commissioning & Process Qualification, to assure viability of technology in proposed configurationUtilize Engineering first principles, scientific methods, and processing systems knowledge to develop technical process equipment solutions that both create new business opportunities and solve existing equipment needsDevelop sustainable engineering practices and programmes ensuring sustainability in plant design and operationQualificationsDegree qualification in Chemical, Process, Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringMin 10+ years process industry experience in engineering with additional operations or maintenance exposure and extensive capital project management experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to work at all levels in an international organizationExtensive Experience required in the following areas:Process plant technical standardsProject concept developmentBusiness case and capital approvalDesign, Procurement and InstallationConstruction, Commissioning and ValidationEnvironmental, health and safety managementContractor and Construction Management
