As a result of rapid and sustained growth, our client is seeking an experienced and practical HR Manager to join their business in a standalone capacity. This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded HR professional to own the day-to-day HR function while laying the groundwork for future initiatives.
The focus is on execution, compliance, process, and operational efficiency, with the potential to grow the function and develop strategies as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and execute day-to-day HR operations, including employee lifecycle processes, documentation, systems, and HR reporting.
* Ensure strong employee engagement through consistent communication and support across departments.
* Partner with the HR Administrator to manage end-to-end recruitment administration, including job postings, interview coordination, and onboarding.
* Support line managers with basic employee relations issues, escalating complex matters where needed.
* Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and legal compliance.
* Develop and implement performance management processes that align with company goals.
* Coordinate training and development activities, ensuring accurate tracking of learning and compliance requirements.
* Oversee payroll input, liaising with finance to ensure accurate data submission each pay cycle.
* Maintain all HR records, systems, and compliance documentation in accordance with GDPR and employment legislation.
* Support the business in developing competitive compensation and benefits frameworks, in line with market practices.
* Ensure compliance with all employment laws and internal HR policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
* Minimum 6 years' HR experience, with a strong background in hands-on HR operations.
* Experience in a standalone or small HR team environment is highly desirable.
* Solid working knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance best practices.
* Confident handling the administrative and transactional side of HR, with a high degree of accuracy.
* Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment coordination, and policy implementation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills approachable, clear, and responsive.
* Able to manage multiple priorities with a calm, solutions-oriented approach.
