Responsibilities
* Deliver support according to the person’s Plan of Care (PCP) and care plan.
* Place the needs and rights of the person supported as the key focus in all activities.
* Provide uptake of services in line with current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector.
* Support individuals with autism and related complex needs; work on personal initiative as required.
* Develop and implement support/care plans and PCPs; monitor and adjust as needed.
* Maintain clear, fluent English communications with the person supported, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
* Full QQI Level 7 Award in Social Care or Applied Social Care/Studies/Practice at degree level (or relevant Schedule 3 qualification as listed on CORU’s website).
* At least 6 months of recent experience as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs.
* Eligible to register with CORU as a Social Care Worker.
* Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector.
* Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism.
* Full, clean driving licence (manual) is essential.
Requirements / Skills
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to implement and develop care plans and PCPs.
* Excellent communication skills.
