We are working with a Dublin-based
Asset Manager
who are seeking an
Operational Risk Manager
to join their Delegate Oversight team. Reporting directly to the Designated Person (DP) for Operational Risk (PCF-39B), this is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional to gain exposure to a regulated PCF function and Board-level interaction while developing their career in operational risk. This role is initially a 12m FTC, but with an expectation for the role to progress to permanency.
The Role
In this role, you will support the DP in overseeing the firm's operational risk framework. You'll take ownership of the error/incident process, ensure resilience planning is embedded, provide oversight of delegate activities, and deliver high-quality reporting to senior stakeholders. The role combines day-to-day operational risk management with involvement in broader strategic and regulatory projects alongside the COO and CRO.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Designated Person for Operational Risk in meeting their regulatory obligations.
* Manage the error/incident process, ensuring issues are logged, investigated and remediated.
* Provide oversight and challenge of delegate activities through the Delegate Oversight team.
* Monitor performance of intercompany SLAs and ensure service standards are met.
* Oversee the resilience framework and business continuity planning.
* Maintain and update operational risk policies in line with regulatory requirements.
* Deliver timely, accurate reporting to the Board and senior leadership.
* Participate in due diligence meetings with external stakeholders.
* Support the COO and CRO on risk and operational projects.
About You
* Minimum 5 years' experience in operational risk, delegate oversight, or a related control function.
* Strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks, resilience planning and Central Bank expectations.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at senior level.
* Organised, detail-focused and capable of managing multiple priorities.
* Degree or professional qualification in risk, compliance, finance or related discipline desirable.
* Previous experience in a management company or asset servicing environment would be an advantage.
