Job Title: AIM Support Staff (Access & Inclusion Model)

About the Role
We are seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic AIM Support Staff member to join our early years team in Maynooth. This role supports the inclusion of a child/children with additional needs within the ECCE setting under the Access and Inclusion Model (AIM).
You will work closely with the Room Leader, management, parents, and external professionals to ensure a nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualised support to a child/children with additional needs in line with their support plan
* Assist the child to participate fully in daily activities and routines
* Implement strategies recommended by AIM, Better Start, therapists, or other professionals
* Support the child's social, emotional, communication, and learning development
* Work collaboratively with the room team to promote inclusion and positive behaviour
* Observe and document progress where required
* Maintain a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment
* Liaise respectfully and professionally with parents/guardians
* Attend relevant meetings, training, and professional development
* Follow all Tusla, Aistear, and Síolta guidelines and service policies
Essential Requirements
* Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education (or equivalent recognised by DCEDIY)
* Genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
* Understanding of inclusive practice in early years
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of child development
* Garda Vetting (to be completed)
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience working with children with additional needs
* Training in Lámh, PECS, ASD supports, sensory strategies, or similar
* First Aid, Manual Handling, and Children First training
