CPL Healthcare is delighted to announce their partnership with Tusla Child and Family Agency. We are offering an exciting opportunity for Social Care Workers and Leaders Nationwide for a number of permanent positions.
The successful candidates will encourage the development of positive attachments through relationship building with the overall goal of providing a therapeutic environment for children and young people. There will be a strong emphasis on engaging the young people in the programme and on building rapport in support of developing relationships.
You will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of Social Care professionals to deliver robust, holistic, trauma-informed care to the young people.
The Social Care Worker/Leader will have responsibility for working with Children and Young People, household activities, administration, teamwork, professional development, health and safety.
We are accepting applications for permanent positions across Limerick.
Responsibilities
* Work with Children and Young People and support household activities and daily routines.
* Collaborate with a team of Social Care professionals to deliver holistic, trauma-informed care.
* Engage with young people to build rapport and support development of positive relationships.
* Contribute to administration, health and safety, and professional development as part of the role.
Qualifications and requirements
* Have a full, manual Irish driving license.
* Have a minimum of 6 months experience in Social Care (placement experience accepted).
* Be registered in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU.
or
* Hold a CORU approved Social Care Worker qualification and have applied for CORU registration (evidence of application will be necessary).
or
* Be eligible for registration in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU (evidence of application will be necessary).
and
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and ability) for proper discharge of the duties of office.
For the Social Care Leader positions, there is a requirement that a candidate must have a Minimum 2 years’ experience working with young people in a residential setting.
