Aircraft Leasing Senior Company Secretary Job Description

As a senior company secretary in an aircraft leasing firm, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company. Your responsibilities will include arranging daily transaction approvals, managing annual compliance requirements, advising on company secretarial and legal issues, monitoring changes in relevant legislation, and liaising with internal departments and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Transaction Approvals: Arrange daily transaction approvals and ensure timely execution of transaction documents to facilitate informed business decisions.
* Compliance Management: Manage the annual compliance requirements of group entities and serviced entities to ensure regulatory adherence and mitigate potential risks.
* Advisory Role: Provide expert advice on company secretarial, legal, and corporate governance issues and updates to ensure the company remains compliant and efficient in its operations.
* Legislative Monitoring: Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment to ensure the company adapts accordingly and maintains its competitive edge.
* Meeting Coordination: Coordinate Board meetings, AGMs, EGMs, and committee meetings to facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
* Liaison and Communication: Liaise with other internal departments, external auditors, solicitors, and company secretarial service providers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

* Qualifications: Hold a third-level qualification in a related field together with a company secretarial qualification, demonstrating expertise in corporate governance and regulation.
* Experience: Possess at least 7 years of experience in company secretarial and statutory compliance or a legal environment, showcasing your ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks.
* Interpretation Skills: Demonstrate the ability to interpret regulatory and legislative requirements to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
* IT and Multitasking Skills: Showcase excellent IT and multitasking skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, prioritizing deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
