Site Engineer RC Frame / Residential Development Cork City Project: 600-Unit Apartment Development Location: Cork City Experience Required: 23+ years Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent About the Role A leading RC frame contractor is seeking a motivated and technically capable Site Engineer to join the delivery team on a major 600-apartment RC frame development in Cork City.
This is a high-profile multi-phase project offering long-term work, career development, and exposure to large-scale reinforced concrete structures.
Key Responsibilities Setting out, levelling, and surveying the RC frame works using GPS, total station, and laser levels.
Interpreting drawings, technical specifications, and construction documentation.
Ensuring all works are delivered to design, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
Overseeing concrete pours, reinforcement inspections, shuttering and formwork checks.
Maintaining accurate site records, QA documents, as-built drawings, and RFI logs.
Assisting with planning, sequencing, and coordination with the wider project team and subcontractors.
Supporting the Senior Engineer and Project Manager with progress tracking and reporting.
Ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory obligations at all times.
Skills & Experience Required 23+ years experience as a Site Engineer, ideally with RC frame, civil, or structural experience.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
Strong competency with setting-out equipment (Total Station, GPS, Auto CAD beneficial).
Proven experience with concrete, reinforcement, and structural works.
Ability to interpret structural drawings and understand site processes.
Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced project environment.
Desirable Experience delivering multi-storey residential or large concrete structures.
Understanding of temporary works, formwork systems, and shuttering processes.
Familiarity with RC frame QA/QC procedures.
