Offer description

About Us
At Fenergo, we build AI‑powered client lifecycle management solutions that help financial institutions fight financial crime. Headquartered in Dublin, we are trusted by more than 100 of the world’s top banks and are on a mission to simplify compliance, accelerate onboarding, and protect customers worldwide.
Role Summary
Senior Product Owner for Fenergo’s Transaction Monitoring (TM) solution. Own the tactical execution of features across an enterprise‑grade AML/CLM platform, working closely with engineering, data science, customers, product managers and client solutions to deliver mission‑critical capabilities such as detection engines, AI models, case management UX, audit and reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Decompose high‑level features and requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization.
Collaborate with engineering, data science, and solutions teams to deliver real‑time and batch TM features (detection analytics, alert scoring, case creation, feedback loops).
Drive backlog grooming, sprint planning, and manage priorities and dependencies across multiple engineering pods.
Participate in design reviews, technical estimation, and ensure non‑functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, auditability) are scoped.
Support calibration, back‑testing, model assessment, threshold tuning, and monitoring of false positives/recall to improve true‑positive detection.
Ensure explainability, reason codes, lineage and transparency across the TM solution, including detection analytics and risk scoring modules.
Define test cases, regression test suites, and oversee UAT and release validation.
Monitor key metrics (alert volumes, false positives, investigator throughput, conversion rates) and iterate to optimize performance.
Manage dependencies with external systems (watchlists, screening, sanctions feeds, data enrichment, client data ingestion).
Create or update product documentation, user guides, runbooks, and support internal teams (sales, services, support).
Stay current on AML regulations, typologies and market trends.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in product, business analysis or domain roles, with at least 4 years in AML/financial‑crime/compliance products.
Deep understanding of transaction monitoring, financial‑crime typologies, case management flows and regulatory expectations.
Experience with regulated, mission‑critical workflows that demand auditability, traceability and security.
Familiarity with data processing and analytics pipelines, feature engineering, model scoring and streaming vs batch.
Comfortable crafting user stories, acceptance criteria and working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong stakeholder management skills to mediate between compliance, operations, engineering and clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical and domain complexity to business and technical audiences.
Analytical mindset with data‑driven decision making and outcome measurement.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or equivalent; or extensive domain experience.
CAMS or equivalent certification is preferred.
