Maintenance Technician (Shift)
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Athlone. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading Medical Device organization and contribute to the success of their manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform timely repair and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment breakdowns.
* Execute scheduled preventative maintenance routines to minimize downtime.
* Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date documentation for all maintenance activities.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance targets.
* Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
* Support and lead assigned actions for Engineering projects within the maintenance team.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar technical role within the Medical Device or a highly regulated industry.
* Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Level 6 craft certification in Electrical or Mechanical fields is also accepted.
* Solid experience with mechanical systems in an automated manufacturing setting is essential.
* Familiarity with PLCs, motor drives, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
* Strong troubleshooting skills, with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A collaborative approach with the ability to work well within a team.
