What you will do:
Under direct supervision and using established standards, responsible for hardware designs and software programming for HVAC control systems to meet project requirements. Provides detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls field installation team, and subcontractors. Responds to basic warranty calls.
How you will do it:
* Select hardware designs from standard libraries for flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of materials, network layouts, and electrical schematics as required.
* Perform software programming using established standards as a basis of design.
* Coordinate the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
* Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for projects. Coordinate factory-mounting processes to meet schedules.
* Assist in loading and commissioning system and network controllers. Validate system functionality and troubleshoot issues with subcontractors and trades.
* Gather field changes, create as-built drawings and software, and prepare documentation/manuals for system operation.
* Keep management and stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
* Assist in site-specific training for owners/operators.
* Complete paperwork such as timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
* Adhere to safety standards, prioritizing employee and subcontractor safety.
What we look for:
Required:
* Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
* Technical aptitude.
* Advanced computer skills.
* Legally, candidates must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by their start date unless they have a medical condition or sincerely held belief preventing vaccination.
* Associates or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or 5+ years in HVAC.
* Experience with installing/commissioning control systems, or designing/evaluating mechanical/electrical building/control systems.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $24-$36 (Rate depends on education, experience, skills, and internal factors).
