About The Role
Manages the day-to-day operational performance of the 1 person logistics delivery and haulage partners for Very Ireland to ensure that our partners are adhering to SLA's.
Scope of Role

Plans, organises, and oversees the movement of goods, ensuring efficient, on-time, and safe transportation.
Impacts delivery and transport partners by actively managing their performance and working with their account management teams on initiatives to improve performance and reduce cost.
Measures logistics KPI's and identifies threats and opportunities to service delivery and takes ownership to action improvement.
Impacts on customer experience by ensuring that delivery and transport partners and adhere to performance service levels.
Supports the customs team with resolving customs related issues to ensure that customer orders are released for delivery to achieve delivery promise to customers.
Has a direct influence on the delivery of the logistics budget through effective performance of the logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling and routing shipments, coordinating with the transport company, and fulfilment centres on managing and coordinating necessary customs paperwork, and resolving operational issues.
Manages the day-to-day performance of delivery partners and fulfilment centres ensuring SLAs are adhered to and takes ownership of urgent issues through to effective and timely resolution and provides clear and timely communication to all key stakeholders throughout.
Uses logistics performance data to analyse and understand strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within the logistics operation and take appropriate action.
Supports the customs team with resolving customs related issues to ensure that customer orders are released for delivery to achieve delivery promises to customers.
Conducts investigations and root cause analysis to understand logistics performance issues and takes corrective action for systemic or procedural change.
Undertakes and provides training that may be required.

Essential Skills And Experience

3-year experience in logistics.
Strong organisational and communication skills to ensure smooth operations.
Able to effectively communicate with all levels up to and including Director level.
Possess a deep passion for exceptional customer service and delivery experience.
Enquiring and challenging.
Strong influencing skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
