General Services Manager – GMP Environment

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Services Manager to lead the delivery of integrated facilities management services within a regulated pharmaceutical environment in Cork. This senior operational leadership role has responsibility for multiple service lines including cleaning, catering, technical services, workplace services, and vendor management. The key on‑site contact for the client, the manager ensures operational excellence, compliance, financial performance, and high levels of client satisfaction.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience within GMP‑regulated environments alongside a proven ability to lead large operational teams and manage complex service delivery contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of integrated FM services across the site
Manage operational performance across multiple service lines and teams
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main on‑site contact
Ensure compliance with GMP/GDP, health & safety, environmental, and quality standards
Manage budgets, forecasting, P&L performance, and financial reporting
Drive SLA/KPI performance and continuous improvement initiatives
Oversee contractor and vendor management across all services
Support business growth through innovation, efficiencies, and additional service opportunities
Lead, coach, and develop high‑performing operational teams
About You
Essential Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience within a GMP‑regulated pharma or medical device environment
Strong background in Facilities Management or Integrated FM services
Proven experience managing multiple operational service lines and large teams
Strong commercial and financial acumen with P&L responsibility
Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing compliance, risk, and operational performance within regulated environments
Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
Desirable Qualifications
Experience within outsourced or contract‑led environments
FM, business, or technical qualification
Experience within pharmaceutical, medical device, or FMCG sectors
