Operations Analyst - Reconciliations 6 Months Dublin One of our large financial clients is currently looking for a operations analyst with Reconciliations "The role will mainly focus on the investigation and remediation on breaks allocated to various department codes under the remit of EMEA CMS. The role will also support the payments team as required. ?Timely investigation of breaks ?Identification of root cause of break ?Remediation of breaks ?Client money mark up of breaks ?Support for payments team when required ?Understanding of break causes and how to remediate a break ?Understanding of how to mark up a client money breaks Business Unit overview Here in our Dublin office we have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our Exceptions Management team. The Exceptions Management team, comprising 7 staff, investigate breaks across approximately 150 bank accounts in thirty currencies, which are used to settle foreign exchange, money market deals and option trades on behalf of various Bank of America Merrill Lynch businesses. This role involves investigating/resolving outstanding non receipts, non-payments, unadvised funds and unadvised debits to the accounts. There is an emphasis on service due to the high level of interaction with internal and external clients. Responsibilities ?Ensuring the investigation of non-receipts, unadvised funds, non-payments and unadvised debits is executed accurately and to defined deadlines ?Dealing with and responding to all incoming written and verbal enquiries from BAML departments, counterparties and banks in a timely manner ?Understanding daily business requirements of other BUs to ensure excellent client service is delivered and desirable results achieved ?Monitoring daily bank account balances and monthly bank fees & interest ?Preparation and distribution of daily management reports and other MIS ?Involvement in projects relating to the exceptions management team ?Timely escalation of issues affecting the exceptions management team Core skills ?Experience in a Reconciliation role in a large financial institution ?Must have a good control focus ?Ability to work to deadlines ?Proactive in supporting and effecting change and process improvements ?Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels ?Knowledge of banking procedures & SWIFT messaging useful ?Good computer and numerical skills ?
