They attract ambitious, driven professionals who bring fresh perspectives and work collaboratively to achieve exceptional outcomes on projects ranging from healthcare and education to conservation and commercial fit-out.The RoleJunior Estimator working under the guidance of Senior Estimators with responsibilities for:Review and assessment of tender documentation including interpreting drawings, specifications, reports and general scope of works requirementsPreparation of consultant, subcontractor and material packages for pricing using latest estimating softwareReview and preparation of consultant, subcontractor and materials cost analysis for cost comparison purposesContinuous management of tender documentsPricing and review of preliminaries items for review by senior managementAssistance in the completion and return of tender documentsAssistance in the preparation of project handover reports including collation of the necessary and associated documentationPreparation and maintenance of estimating data for reports and tender applicationInvolvement in a diverse portfolio of project sectors – Commercial & Fit-Out, Civic & Amenity, Education, Conservation & Restoration, Healthcare, Pharma & Industrial, Tourism & Leisure, ResidentialThe CandidateIdeally from a Main Contractor background with relevant on-site operations experience and/or good technical knowledgeMinimum 1 year experienceGood ability to read drawings, specifications and reports with capability to assess issues and riskClear and concise communicator with an aptitude for problem solving and thinking outside the boxCapable of working on own initiative and as part of a teamAble to work accurately and efficiently while managing own time to meet critical deadlinesRelevant diploma or degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Construction related disciplineProficient in MS Word and Excel; knowledge of Conquest Estimating is a plusHold a valid driving licenceWhat Our Client Offers YouOpportunity to work in the estimating department under experienced senior personnel, providing key support on major construction tender submissions.
