Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to manage the financial operations of our nursing home.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Sage Accounting Software and a solid background in financial administration.
This role involves processing invoices, payroll, and resident billing while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and ensure timely payments.
Resident Billing: Prepare and issue invoices for residents' care fees, liaise with families and funding bodies regarding payments.
Bank Reconciliations: Maintain accurate bank records and perform regular reconciliations.
Payroll Processing: Manage staff wages, deductions, and payroll queries Budget & Cash Flow Management: Assist in monitoring budgets and managing cash flow.
Compliance & Audit: Ensure financial transactions comply with regulations and assist with audits.
General Administration: Maintain accurate records, support the finance team, and perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements & Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably in a healthcare or nursing home setting.
Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Sage Accounting is essential.
Education: A qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field is desirable.
Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience working within the healthcare or nursing home sector .
Knowledge of HIQA and HSE financial guidelines .
