Role Description

This role will support the Hatchery team in day-to-day activities and operations in the hatchery. Community Relations & Sustainable Rivers and hatchery work is directly linked to ESB’s strategy and this role is a great opportunity to work in a hands-on area and contribute to ESB.


Key responsibilities

* Day to day operation of Hatcheries including;
* Fish conservation
* Feeding
* Monitoring
* Health & Safety duties
* Upkeep of the hatchery
* Teamwork
* Flexibility
* Technical skills
* Knowledge and awareness of site safety measures
* Sustainable ways of work
* Strong communication


Location of Role

* One of the following: Parteen Hatchery/Belmont/ESB Head Office


Contract

This is a fixed-term contract position, offering valuable experience and exposure within ESB’s Community Relations & Sustainable Rivers function.

ESB is committed to smart working – combining digital tools with a culture of trust and empowerment to enable flexible ways of working. The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.
