Job Title: Social Care Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Worker to join our team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will support children and young people living in residential care across mainstream and disability settings. The role involves delivering high-quality, trauma-informed, person-centred care that promotes safety, wellbeing, independence, and positive outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:
* Build Safe Relationships: Establish trusting, therapeutic relationships using trauma-informed and attachment-based approaches.
* Support Daily Routines: Assist with daily routines, education, self-care, independent living skills, community access, and meaningful activities.
* Implement Care Plans: Implement individual care plans, placement plans, communication supports, and behaviour support strategies.
* Promote Independence: Promote independence and social inclusion tailored to each child's developmental level and abilities.
* Provide Personal Care: Provide personal care and assist with mobility or specialist equipment when supporting children with disabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Essential Qualification: Level 7 or 8 qualification in Social Care or equivalent recognised for CORU registration.
* Desirable Experience: Experience in residential childcare or disability services.
* Training and Knowledge: Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, child development, and rights-based care.
