Key Responsibilities
* Technology Leadership: Decide which tools and systems the company should use to store and organise its information and lead the process of setting them up.
including integration with Databricks, Data Lake, Data Factory, and other core services
* Be Able to Demonstrate an Expertise in the Following Technologies
* System Design: Create the overall "blueprint" for how data flows through the company, ensuring different software systems can talk to each other smoothly.
* AI Support: Work with the AI teams to build the foundations they need to create smart automation and predictive tools.
* Setting Standards: Establish the "rules of the road" for how data should be handled to ensure everything is organises, consistent, and high-quality.
* Collaboration: Act as a bridge between the business side and the technical side to make sure the company's goals are turned into working digital solutions.
* Continuous Improvement: Constantly look for new, better ways to make the data systems faster, more reliable, and less expensive to run.
* Data Protection: Make sure all systems follow privacy laws (like GDPR) and that sensitive information is stored safely and legally.
* System Reliability: Work with the cloud and IT teams to automate how systems are updated and monitored so they stay running 24/7.
* Team Mentoring: Teach and coach other staff members on how to build better data systems and improve their technical skills.
* Future Planning: Keep an eye on new tech trends to ensure the company's systems don't become outdated.
Experience required:
* *Stamp 4 visa or a UK or EU Passport is Essential*
* An ability to do 2 days onsite in North Dublin (Essential)
* Proven experience architecting data platforms on Microsoft Azure, including Databricks, Data Lake Storage Gen2 & Azure Data Factory.
* Knowledge of Lake house architecture, Delta Lake, PySpark & SQL Qualifications

* Experience with AI/ML workflows, Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, security, and privacy frameworks.
* Proficiency in data modelling, ETL/ELT design, and metadata management.
* Experience of Power BI, Azure DevOps or Jira, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience in large-scale enterprise environments with complex data ecosystem
