Automation Equipment Technician
This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of automation equipment, adhering to health and safety protocols, operational procedures, and quality work instructions. The technician will be responsible for maintaining high-quality output, implementing process improvements, and providing innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain automation equipment in excellent condition to ensure consistent quality, output, and yield.
* Utilize systematic root cause problem-solving techniques to resolve issues efficiently.
* Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, completing all associated paperwork and records.
* Lead process improvements to achieve more efficient operations while adhering to change management and cGMP requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Systematic and structured troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to provide innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
* Adherence to change management procedures and cGMP requirements.
* Good written and oral communication skills.
Benefits:
The ideal candidate will have a Level 6, Level 7, or Level 8 HETAC qualification in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical/Automation Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or similar. Qualified trades personnel with industrial experience will also be considered. Experience in high-volume automation/robotics is essential, as well as knowledge of Pneumatics, Electronics, Hydraulics, Programmable Controllers, Servo Motor drives, Vision systems, Ultrasonic welding, workshop machining, Process Capability, MSA, or GR&R.

Candidates should possess a high level of safe working practices and awareness, with good computer literacy and MS Office skills. The ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances is crucial. Travel may be required to support new equipment buy-offs/training.
