Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Local Compliance Officer (LCO) on a fixed term 12 month contract to assist with compliance in Ireland.
As LCO reporting into the Head of Compliance, you will have overall responsibility for local compliance within our leasing activities, which includes, ensuring timely and qualitive execution of the first line responsibilities for these areas, building and maintaining a solid compliance culture and ensuring effective and efficient compliance related processes.

Day To Day
As LCO for DLL Ireland (DLL Leasing DAC) your specific accountabilities will be:
* Implement the annual Compliance plan ("Annual Plan") in alignment with Global Compliance target operating model ("TOM"). The Annual Plan will contain all elements of the global compliance program and local compliance requirements, including risk assessments, maintaining the inventory of laws, rules and regulations, monitoring, testing, training, reporting, investigation and day to day advice on compliance and ethics matters. Utilisation of appropriate tolling to track completion of activities (DevOps Tool)
* In collaboration with the Head of Compliance develop, implement, and update the policies, procedures and components of the DLL compliance program including risk assessments, training materials, communication plan, monitoring/audit plan.
* Knowledge to support and guide the business in the identification, understanding of financial economic crime risks and to present on emerging financial crime risks and types of financial crime which will allow for effective management and prioritisation of activities to respond timely and structurally.
* Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and/or areas of potential compliance vulnerability within DLL Leasing DAC operations and prioritise risks.
* Support with developing ongoing compliance reports and analysis for DLL Leasing DAC boards of directors, country leadership, Group Compliance and regulatory authorities.
* Foster a "culture of accountability and ethical conduct" adhering to all requirements (Individual Accountability Framework, CBI Fitness and Probity Standard) to ensure that all members are engaged in the compliance program and its implementation.
* Organise, implement, and manage a continuing compliance communications and training program for current and new DLL members and managers.
* Support in the Compass monitoring program and operation (including results of investigations and disciplinary actions).
* Consult on the first line of responsibility control activities, embedded in the business processes to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of the applicable regulations, controls, authorisations, and reporting.

Essentials
* A solid understanding of general ethics and Compliance practices, regulations and laws.
* 3+ years of experience within a similar/relevant role.
* Comfortable working a team in a semi-virtual environment and using remote tools i.e. present in the office on Monday and Tuesday
* Strong business writing, Excel and communication skills.
* Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing needs of the business.
* Strong decision-making ability, especially in an escalation/urgent scenario.
Extras
* Professional Diploma in Compliance is desirable.
* Experience in equipment financing or leasing, and vendor financing is desirable.
* Ability to identify and resolve compliance, regulatory and ethical issues and effectively communicate them to Senior Management and the members of country and business units verbally and in writing.
* A solid understanding of general ethics and Compliance practices, regulations and laws. – Retail Credit Firm, minimum competency requirements (MCR), Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) and associated Compliance Ireland qualification in Compliance and Financial Crime
* Ability to take on responsibility and be proactive on new matters and regulatory projects.
