Overview
Support Worker role at Autism Initiatives Ireland CLG. Location: Stillorgan, Co. Dublin. 39 hours per week. Job reference: SW_STILL_0601.
Responsibilities
* Provide person-centred support to individuals with complex needs.
* Assist with daily living activities and routines, including personal care.
* Support individuals to engage in their community and learn new skills.
* Adapt communication to suit individual needs and preferences.
* Promote rights and support individuals to make their own decisions.
* Learn about the individual's needs and what is important to them, and tailor interactions accordingly.
* Work as part of a team to implement Person Centred Plans and Programme Planning.
* Eligible to work in Ireland; be available to work a rota including evenings, weekends, and waking night duties.
* Maintain a full, clean driver's licence (where applicable).
Essential Criteria / Qualifications
* A full QQI Level 5 major award in Health/Care (or equivalent) is essential.
* Awareness of Key Worker / Support Worker role and philosophy for supporting people with complex needs.
* Programme Planning and Person Centred Plans experience.
* Full, clean driver's licence essential (where applicable).
* Permission to work in Ireland.
Skills / Abilities
* Excellent communication skills; fluent English.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to adapt communication to individual needs and preferences.
