Job Description
We seek a highly organised and commercially aware Operational Support Specialist to support management in the daily running of our business.
This is a hands-on role, office-based and on the road, suited to someone who is trustworthy, discreet, and comfortable working with numbers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support coordination and administration of daily business operations and ongoing projects.
* Liaise closely with departments to ensure smooth project and operational delivery.
* Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Prepare for discussions and meetings, ensuring relevant paperwork and documentation are ready in advance.
* Set up, attend, and minute meetings; record actions and follow up promptly.
* Schedule appointments, visits, and internal communications.
* Obtain supplier quotes to ensure value for money.
* Assist with job confirmations, pricing checks, scheduling, and logistics.
* Liaise with suppliers and contractors, documenting agreements in writing.
* Monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
* Analyse figures, costs, and reports to support decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Commercially aware with sound financial understanding.
Mathematical skills confident with figures, cost analysis, and data accuracy.
Computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience with ERP systems.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Negotiation skills.
Able to work under pressure.
Fast learner who can adapt quickly to new systems and tasks.
