We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor (Contract/Project-Based) to join our team in Galway.

Role Description
Video Editing & Post-Production
* Review and organise raw recordings (tutor support videos, student introductions, narrated slides).
* Assemble raw footage into structured, coherent, and engaging final videos.
* Trim, sequence, and refine clips for clean, professional edit points.
* Incorporate audio elements (voice-overs, background music) and graphics where needed.
* Ensure smooth transitions, strong pacing, and overall video continuity.
Quality & Standards
* Deliver videos aligned with project style, clarity, and professional standards.
* Prepare and export final files in required formats and resolutions.
Collaboration & Workflow
* Work closely with the Project Lead/SME to interpret creative direction and implement revisions.
* Maintain organised project files and timelines throughout the editing process.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven video editing experience with a portfolio demonstrating polished, professional output.
* Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
* Strong creative and technical judgement for sequencing and engagement.
* High attention to detail in pacing, audio quality, transitions, and visual standards.
* Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Nice to Have
* Experience with captions/subtitles and accessibility-friendly media practices.
* Basic motion graphics or animation skills.
Working Arrangement
* Contract/project-based role for the video development phase (starting mid-March).
* Short-term engagement aligned with project delivery.
* Ideally on-site, with potential for hybrid or remote working.
* Structured review cycles with the Project Lead.
