eFlexes Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer on behalf of a leading manufacturing client in Limerick.
This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
The successful candidate will support new product introduction and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
This role plays a key part in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall production performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools (e.g. SMED, OEE, 5S)
Optimise equipment performance, improve yield, and reduce waste
Support the introduction of new products into production, meeting efficiency and quality targets
Provide technical support on process capability, equipment, and quality issues
Lead problem-solving activities and implement effective solutions
Conduct experiments, analyse data, and make recommendations based on findings
Support validation activities for new and existing processes
Coordinate technology transfer and support capacity expansion projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver key operational KPIs
Requirements
Degree (Level 8) in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related)
Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (medical device or cGMP experience an advantage)
Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies
Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g. Minitab desirable)
Familiarity with semi-automated production environments
Experience with adhesives or coating processes is beneficial
Proficient in MS Office and engineering software (e.g. SolidWorks/AutoCAD)
Additional Information
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Flexibility to work different shifts if required
Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
Role involves working in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and chemicals
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required
Some physical activity may be involved, including standing, bending, and reaching
