Role Summary

The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to optimize revenue opportunities at the hotel. This will involve working closely with the revenue manager, meeting and events, and senior management to identify and pursue sales opportunities in the corporate market, tour operators, and special interest groups.


Duties and Responsibilities

* Develop an annual sales and marketing strategy that leverages online and offline channels
* Design and implement creative seasonal campaigns using a multi-channel approach
* Identify target audiences and segments
* Increase brand awareness of the rejuvenated Abbey Court Hotel, highlighting recent improvements made to the product
* Proactively manage B2B sales within the corporate market and with tour operators and special interest groups
* Understand the hotel's technological structure, including PMS, RMS, CRM, AI interface, GDS, and booking engine
* Benchmark and monitor the hotel's competitive set
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and report on sales and marketing progress and metrics on a monthly basis
* Manage the hotel website content, assets, organic and paid campaigns, ensuring updates and development are optimized
* Manage third-party relationships with the hotel booking engine and online travel agents
* Establish the Sales & Marketing budget for review by the General Manager
* Leverage industry relationships with Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland
* Responsibly action the hotel's overall marketing, PR, and social media plans while liaising and collaborating with internal & external stakeholders
* Local community outreach - manage sponsorship and promotional opportunities
* Work with Senior Management to assist in supporting the Hotel to achieve awards and accolades
* Meet the required revenue targets with the aim to exceed them as set out by GM


Requirements

* Hospitality experience is an essential requirement
* Target-driven, resilient personality, and a go-getter
* Clear, concise, and professional communication skills both verbally and written
* Able to multitask, prioritize, and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong computer, presentation, and reporting skills
* Hotsoft experience a distinct advantage
* Strong written, verbal communication skills
* 3 years plus experience in a similar role
* Fluent in English written and verbal
* Proven track record in a similar role
