IT Deskside Support / IT Projects Engineer
My client is one of the largest Building Materials buying group in Ireland. They are currently seeking an IT Deskside Support / IT Projects Engineer
to join the team. This is an on-site position based in Naas.
The responsibilities of the role will include responding to internal staff requests for technical support for hardware and software issues. You will play a key part within the organisation and be mentored by senior colleagues as well as getting exposure to many exciting upcoming large scale IT projects.
The Role:
* Provide onsite Deskside support to end users.
* Work to resolve issues accurately and efficiently, within set targets and in a professional manner.
* Liaise with and manage 3rd party's where necessary while taking ownership of the issue and its resolution.
* Ensure documentation and issue logging are kept up to date.
* Assist the finance department with support and the ongoing onboarding of suppliers.
* Assist with the development and implementation of an in-house Query Management System within the Finance Department.
* Assist with the implementation and testing of a large SAP ERP project including the introduction of OCR.
Experience Required:
* 3+ years' experience of working in Deskside support role.
* Experience of supporting Microsoft Office suites including Office 365.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Experience of supporting Windows 10.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven software and hardware troubleshooting skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field.
Desirable Skills:
* Proficiency with Network Infrastructure e.g. switches, routers, APs, patching, network architecture knowledge.
* Printer hardware knowledge.
* Previous experience of EDI systems
* Knowledge of ERP systems including SAP
