A leading organisation in the renewable energy sector is seeking to appoint an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist on a permanent basis.The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and Appropriate Assessments (AA/Natura Impact Statements) for a portfolio of large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the EIA process for major renewable energy developments, including full responsibility for EIAR and AA/NIS deliveryProvide expert environmental input to support project planning, development strategy, and regulatory complianceMonitor and interpret changes in planning and environmental legislation and policy, contributing to internal guidance and external submissions where requiredSupport stakeholder engagement activities, including coordination of consultation with local communities and statutory bodiesPrepare scopes and specifications for third-party environmental services and support procurement and tender processesEnsure all activities are delivered in line with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirementsContribute to performance management objectives and support the mentoring and development of junior team members, particularly in EIA and AA processesWhat We're Looking ForHonours Degree (Level 8) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related disciplinePostgraduate qualification (Level 9) in a relevant field desirableMinimum 5 years' experience leading EIAR and AA/NIS for large-scale projectsStrong knowledge of the Irish EIA process, planning system, and environmental legislationProven experience coordinating multidisciplinary EIA teamsBackground in renewables, infrastructure, or strategic development projects advantageousTechnical expertise in an EIA-related discipline (e.g. ecology, noise, air quality) desirableApply now to join a growing renewable energy programme and play a key role in delivering nationally significant projects.
