Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Limerick. The successful candidate will provide high-quality occupational therapy services to adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health needs, sensory, and physical impairments.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and forward-thinking occupational therapist to make a real difference in the lives of our service users. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering assessments, interventions, care planning, and onward referrals.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage complex clinical caseloads with advanced reasoning and autonomous decision-making.
* Recommend and oversee therapy programmes, adaptations, equipment, and activities.
* Contribute to planning of new facilities and ensure environments meet service-user needs.
* Maintain comprehensive clinical and statistical records.
Requirements
* CORU-recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
* Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience.
* Experience working with adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, mental health needs, and complex behaviours.
* Knowledge of sensory processing in adults.
* Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
Benefits
* Permanent, full-time contract (35 hours per week) with flexibility required for evenings/weekends.
* Salary: €63,–€74, (pro rata, including LSIs).
* 9 months probation period, extendable by 3 months.
* 29 days annual leave + 10 public holidays.
* Pension: Membership of relevant public service pension scheme depending on service history.
